For those of you who have just known gecko, let's see some info why this type of gecko are very expensive. In 1996, the first albino gecko has been reported to hatch. Albino Gecko was given the name "Rosie" by his master. While there may have been born an albino gecko before Rosie, but Rosie was the first discovered and seen by humans. According to Rosie's owner, Rosie is sickly albino and died a year later. After Rosie died, the owner conduct more research on Rosie's brother and found that he has almost 70% chance of producing another albino geckos.
Then, the breed try to breed Bubba(Rosie's brother) with another geckos. He tried to produce more female geckos by setting up the temperature. Then he breed Bubba with its matured female offspring and more than 1000 eggs were produced. The result was quite impressive when around 10% of the eggs produce albino geckos and this variety of albino geckos called Trempler Albino in conjuction with Ron Templer(Rosie and Bubba owner).
Since then, Trempler Albino was breed to another Leopard Gecko and produced more variety of albino geckos. Each variety come with its own uniqueness and distinct feature that make them very expensive.

Have your Leopard Gecko lay eggs yet? If YES, that was a good news to hear. But do you know how to take care the babies and how to growing the up? I am sure most of us adopt our Leopard Gecko since it is already grown up. But when it come to the babies, most of us don't have any ideas on how to take care of them. So that was a bad news to the babies.
First we can start from the egg. Usually, start from 40-60 days, you can see droplets of water on the egg's shell. Then it start to shrink and nearly collapse. This means the egg is starting to hatch. At first, you may be surprise because this babies possess an unusual tooth called "egg tooth" at the end of it snout. This "egg tooth" is use to to break the egg shell. Don't worry about this tooth because it will fall after a day or more. After hatched for the egg, the skin only will shed within 24 hours. Please note that it wont be able to eat anything before the skin shed. So do not force them to eat within that period.
Habitat
It is quite easy to feed Leopard Gecko. You can feed with insects twice or triple a day. You also can feed it with spiders or worms. One of the best food for this reptile is crickets. Besides, crickets are easy to find and can be bought at any pet stores easily. One important thing to remember is to make sure the insects you feed to your Leopard Gecko is still alive because it wont eat any dead prey. Since it wont drink to much water, a little water spot is enough.
