Have you ever heard about leopard gecko? If you already read my previous entry, I think you have an idea about what is leopard gecko. Leopard gecko is a kind of small lizard and one of the reptile family members. Naturally, Leopard Gecko is easily found in Southern or Central Asia like Afghanistan, Pakistan and India. Leopard gecko possess an eyelids. This is special and make them really different from other lizards family.
Why it is call “Leopard”?
Leopard gecko was called leopard because of it leopard like body spot(see image above). That is the main reason why people called it leopard gecko. Some of them got the same color as leopard. It has very hard skin which make them suitable to live in a sandy and rocky environment like dessert. The skin color also changeable depends on the environment color to protect itself from predators such as foxes, snakes and frogs.
Diet

What does this Leopard Gecko eat? This reptile feeds on insect or we can class it as a carnivore. What is unique about this reptile is they won't eat dead preys or insects. They prefer to hunt their prays by themselves. This reptile also doesn't drink water so much make it can live in dessert which is lack of water sources.
